On Friday 25th April UDG London arranged the inaugural LEGOLAND Windsor affiliate day, hosted at the resort itself

Having managed the LEGOLAND Windsor affiliate programme for many years, UDG London are pleased to announce the success of the 2014 affiliate day, which was attended by a wide range of partners at the Windsor resort.

The key objectives of the day were to educate the affiliates about the brand, creating excitement around the resort in order to increase engagement with current affiliates and entice new publishers onto the programme.

The morning included an informative presentation from Grace Lim, LEGOLAND Windsor Ecommerce Manager, outlining the brands plans for the coming year. This was followed up with a guided tour of the resort from Grace, providing insider information to the publishers on the recent developments such as the newly themed Resort Hotel, as well as the Pirate Shores and MiniLand.

Grace spoke of how she “had a fantastic time meeting our affiliate partners and being able to share the excitement about the latest LEGOLAND Windsor Resort events and attractions was the highlight of my day.”

The day was received exceptionally well by a wide range of affiliates that made the journey to Windsor to attend. This unique approach attracted the programme’s top performers as we well niche bloggers such as Cheaper Days Out who have taken the opportunity to put together an engaging blog of their experience at the resort.

Quidco’s Hannah Martin explained that “it was a fantastic and engaging day out, arming Quidco with the information needed to successfully promote LEGOLAND Windsor to our consumer base!”

In line with aggressive 2014 targets of 53% increase in sales year on year, the affiliate day is part of UDG’s wider strategy to increase the level of engagement and education on all of our programmes.

The day was focused around engaging the affiliates with the brand, an area UDG London feel is essential in such a relationship-centric industry. In order to ensure the long term growth of UDG London and its clients, strengthening the relationships that we have with our affiliates and partners is vital. Innovation and relationships play an important part in the performance marketing industry, and UDG London feel that it is vital to be at the forefront of that.

David Ayre, Account Director at TradeDoubler noted how “UDG London provided interesting and engaging insight into the LEGOLAND Windsor programme, with all the innovation we have come to expect from our trusted agency partner”.
